Make an emerald face & beard oil

For 12 days we will be publishing one formula a day that you can copy or personalise this holiday season.

DAY 8

Right, so we are back to gifts for gentlemen today with this face and beard oil with the most amazing green colour.

This formula was created after a conversation I had with my other half who always struggled with rashes after shaving. He has a stubble beard, he shapes it and shaves the neck area and it doesn’t matter what he uses, those rashes appear. Until now. I thought I’d share the formula with you.

His words were (well, we speak in Hungarian so this is a rough translation): “Can you make me one your concoctions, but nothing smelly or greasy. I hate it when my skin is shiny and sticky. “ This oil blend is really for the skin rather than for longer beard but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for both.

I think I did alright, what do you think?

PS: The rashes are no longer an issue. He also uses it after a haircut, on his neck at the back.

PERSONALISATION

  • I used dry oils in this formula because it is for men and they don’t always like heavy oils. Other options could be kiwi oil, watermelon seed oil, hazelnut oil, rosehip oil.

  • Swap the essential oils to your (or his) liking.

  • You can omit the bisabolol but it really has a powerful soothing effect.

  • You can also add CO2 extracts to give it a boost.

HOW TO USE

Apply on the shaved skin and massage it in. This oil is also suitable for the face and on longer beard.
